Highway Department
The Clinton County
Highway Superintendent is appointed by the Clinton County Engineer.
Under his supervision, road crews maintain all county roads,
bridges, culverts and roadway signs.
Among the many duties
performed by this department are:
Repair and/or
reconstruction of bridges and culverts
Paving or chip and
sealing roads
Cleaning ditch lines to
keep natural waterways flowing
Mowing county right of
ways
Roadside spraying
Trimming back trees and
bushes that can create site distance problems
Installation and
maintenance of roadway signs
Snow removal
The safety of the
residents, and all who travel through Clinton County, is paramount
to the dedicated employees of the Highway Department.
